The Dachshund is one of the most iconic and loved dogs, and for good reason. They make a great companion for anybody who needs one. What are the characteristics of a Dachshund?
Dachshund are known for their short legs and long body. They come in one of three coat types: smooth, wirehaired, or longhaired, and are a very vocal breed. They are a breed that needs to be fairly active and will need a fair amount of companionship. They do make for very alert guard dogs, but do not come with a very big bite. All and all they are adored world over.
